      |  The old marsh lies far to the southwest of Darkhaven. Once a   |
      |  part of Haon Dor, heavy rain and lack of drainage created the  |
      |  murky bog. As the continent tipped and leaned during the       |
      |  Shattering, the marsh began to flood and expand. The detritus  |
      |  and water from the rising of the Southern Mountains pushed the |
      |  edges of the marsh out to encompass the southwest corner of    |
      |  the continent. The Old Marsh still lies at the heart of this   |
      |  sprawling mass, where trolls and other vile beings make their  |
      |  dwelling.                                                      |
